What is the NLN Pre-Admission Exam? It is an examination known as PAX for Registered Nursing (RN) and Practical/Vocational Nursing (PN/VN or LPN/LVN) programs. It is an entrance exam which is standardized for potential nursing students who want to be admitted into nursing schools located across the nation.
There are three main components of the NLN PAX. First there is the verbal skills section, then the Mathematics section and finally the Science section. There is an additional section on health and first aid on the NLN PAX-PN.
If you are considering a career in nursing you may want to take the PAX. If you are going to apply for admission to a PN nursing program you may need to take the PAX if the nursing school requires the test score report.
